While generally my answer to any powertrain question is Small Block Chevy, I'd have to say for 17K there should be a 302 in it.

Too low and I agree with Travis at that price it should have a proper Ford powerplant, this coming from a Chevy guy. All that aside, nice truck.

Someone has watched too many auctions on TV. This is not a Mecum or Barrett Jackson quality truck. Sure I would drive it, I like it but $17k is too much for a unibody F100. Unless it's a low mileage original drivetrain example.
